Few words about by Jelodanti…
MISS MARVEL existed in Paris from 1991 to 1992. They shared the bill with bands like Sister Iodine, Deity Guns and opened for Babes in Toyland at the Espace Ornano (Paris). After two demos released on cassette and a self- produced album never released, the adventure came to an end.
Amaury and Olivier locked themselves away in a chalk mine on the outskirts of Paris to build their own studio, which would become the lair of their successor project ULAN BATOR. Franq (now curator of the Sonic Protest festival) continued his musical career with DRAGIBUS.
Thirty years on, and for the first time on vinyl, the eponymous album is released on the Jelodanti French label.
MISS MARVEL a existé à Paris de 1991 à 1992. Quelques concerts « très puissants » donnés à l’époque dans la capitale, Miss Marvel partage l’affiche avec les Sister Iodine, Deity Guns ou encore en première partie des Babes in Toyland lors de leur passage à l’espace Ornano. Après deux démos sorties sur cassettes et un album auto-produit jamais paru, l’aventure s’arrête.
Amaury et Olivier s’enferment alors dans une mine de craie de la banlieue parisienne pour y construire leur propre studio qui deviendra la tanière de leur projet successeur ULAN BATOR. Franq quant à lui, (aujourd’hui programmateur du festival Sonic Protest) poursuivra sa carrière musicale avec DRAGIBUS.
Trente ans après et pour la première fois en vinyle, l’album éponyme sort sur le label Jelodanti.
