You said that your computer froze, which I understand (or thought I did); but then you said you went into "safe mode" and shut down from there. These can be cleaned but the procedure varies by model (this happens on desktops also but it's more obvious and easier to deal with). Be sure to back up your data first! I don't think I have any CDs to burn .iso on.Your hard drive is a Western Digital (WDC WD3200JS-60PDB0).
Since I now only buy high quality - no more freezes! Immediately I knew it was the issue. Click the "Startup" tab to toggle which programs automatically run upon startup. Being a member gives you additional options.
