Right now, it may be a good idea to slave the drive to another machine to transfer the files somewhere safe...since I assume you don't have both a CD reader and Thanks! The EBCD is giving me some hope, but it says it can't clean/fix/restore the registry itself. Itâ€™s very frustrating, and any help would be very gratefully received. All Rights Reserved. It had windows 95 on it I tried putting it in the master slot and the Maxtor in the slave spot.
But the harddrive seemed to be really hard to get out. Its almost a mission now. if you do, you would then copy it to the windows directory by typing "copy ???\himem.sys c:\windows" where ???
