My skype isn't running, and the test port 80 shows it isn't being used by anything. Update 5: You should also stop ‘SQL Server Reporting Services'. It seems to install okay; MySQL starts. Wamp Apache Won't Start
Once installed and my PC restarted, all was OK. Before this happened, I was trying to add a new vhost, but now I have reverted back all of the files where I made changes. I couldn't find any errors in the Apache error log - turned out they were being caught by the windows service manager and I needed to look in the event viewer. Or change the Skype port numbers. The official error was that I added an extension(coldfusion) to apache and for some reason apache didn't recognize it.

Secondly, open a command window, then CD into \wamp\bin\apache\apache2.x.y\bin, replace x,y with your actual version. Source Look for messages from Apache with the red error icon.

on May 7, 2010 very very skype!! Loading... I quit skype etc, didn't make any difference. You can either try to add a line for 127.0.0.1 (local address) or you can put your actual IP address in there.
